About Us

I started Haytech LLC in the late summer of 2012. I wanted to build my own fiberglass hood that summer and started off with the easiest stuff I could find.

I built it using my stock hood as a template and no actual mold. I did build a functional hood, but not visually appealing to say the least. After that terrible first attempt at fiberglass I became obcessed with learning better techniques and more about materials. I took many local classes and spent months reading everything I could find on the subject. This grew into a passion for working with not only vehicle design but also composite parts design.

I am currently a student at Western Washington University's Vehicle Engineering Program where I hope to improve my knowledge of composite based design and manufacturing for vehicles even further.

I have spent the last year designing a one of a kind, tri turbo engine, tubular spaceframed, RWD, Carbon-bodied Protege5. (You can find pictures in my gallery section of the entire process)
